FAQs

Can you tell me the names of the horses?

Our therapeutic modalities emphasizes the experience of the client, so each client is encouraged to name the horses whatever they feel their name should be.

Are you hiring?

We are always looking for passionate people, whether it be as a volunteer or staff members - shoot us an email and we can let you know what positions we are seeking.

Who will my therapist be?

It depends on your schedule and ours. Nina can let you know the name of your therapist once it makes it on the schedule.

Is this talk therapy?

Not usually. Our sessions are client-led, so some clients like to talk to us- while some like to spend time with the horse(s). We will be in the general area with you, but you decide what happens during the session. Clients often enjoy doing many things like grooming, talking, and observing the animals.

Do you have riding lessons?

No, we do not offer riding lessons. However, as part of our equine-assisted therapy program we can utilize a therapeutic riding session following the PATH Intl. standards. Therapeutic riding is a combination of physical and mental health related practices and is beneficial for certain people. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about our therapeutic riding or to see if you/your child is a good fit for this part of our program.

Can my session(s) be on the weekend?

Sadly not, we are open Monday through Friday year-round. Session times vary in the summer, reach out for more details.
